Last-Minute & Close-In Travel Still Going Strong
Some of our most recent bookings were made just weeks (and sometimes days) before departure. If you’ve been hesitating because you think you’ve “missed your window,” this is your sign: you haven’t.
Over Thanksgiving, we had several last-minute bookings that one of our Disney Cruise clients told us that they would not have been able to swing it without our help.
There are still some great flights and accommodations for the week between Christmas and New Years, especially for ski trips. For example, you can fly from Charleston, SC to Vail, CO starting at $374 round trip, with reasonable $700/night resorts, plus you get savings on time and travel by flying directly into Vail.

“Close-in travel” or “close-in booking” refers to booking trips, especially flights or cruises, very near to the departure date. Think days or weeks, as opposed to months in advance. These last-minute bookings can result in great deals for flexible travelers, but can require immediate payment.
